Home - Parking at AFC
This plan is intended to improve user quality of service by providing information and promoting more efficient use of the church’s parking facilities.
Walk or bike to and from the church. When walking, utilize established crosswalks and signalized intersections.
Use public transportation to and from the church, as there are many viable travel options. Information about your travel options is available on the church’s website.
Ride share to and from the church.
Be mindful of your use of our loading zone on Indiana Avenue and our loading berth off of Prairie Avenue. Use caution and be mindful of our handicapped users and bikers.
Following the guidance of our Parking Attendants is critically important, as they have full knowledge and understanding of the lots capacity and their availability. If the lots are full, gates are closed and signs will be posted that the “Lot is Full” and you will be redirected to a nearby available lot.
If you are planning to stay longer than one service, please be considerate and park at one of the shared remote lots at Williams J. and Charles H. Mayo Elementary School, now known as the Ida B. Wells Preparatory Elementary Academy at 37th Street and Prairie Avenue, Wendell Phillips Academy High School at 38th Street and Prairie Avenue, or Dawson Technical Institute at Wabash Avenue and Pershing Road. Appropriate Apostolic Faith Church signs or Parking Attendants are there to assist.
During peak demand for church-wide events the church offers parking shuttles to and from other remote locations.
