Girls Growing Gracefully in God (G4)
Each 3rd Saturday, young ladies ages 5 to 16 come together to cultivate positive, Christ-centered, self-development without stifling their unique personalities.
Every 2nd and 4th Friday at 7pm we have food and talk freely about issues that concern teens. You don’t have to be a member to come, so bring a friend!
Our Toddler Ministry volunteers create a safe, comfortable and stimulating place for parents to bring toddlers, ages 18 months to 5 years old during all of our worship services.
Young Men Enlighten Now (YMEN)
Our team of Mentors are committed to produce responsible, Christ-like and well informed young men; decrease the number of delinquent juveniles by giving young men constructive activities year round and fill in the gap in single parent and neglected households. They meet on Super Saturday - every 3rd Saturday at 10am.
Our team is committed to providing spiritual courses designed to enhance the individual’s spiritual growth and development.

AFC Altar Workers welcome all who come to the altar for prayer and spiritual guidance. Altar Workers are trained to pray with you, give basic spiritual guidance and walk others through the processes of being baptized in Jesus’ name and seeking the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Altar Workers are available during all worship services.
The Bereavement Ministry offers warm, professional service during each stage of the bereavement process. Our AFC Bereavement Representatives are gracious and understanding of those who have suffered a loss.
AFC Ministerial Alliance is designed to provide training and development for individuals to become effective ministers, leaders and to maintain excellence in ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.

AFC Spiritual Facilitators provide spiritual guidance referencing personal, spiritual, family and work issues and concerns.
The mission of the Volunteer Ministry is to connect members of AFC through intentional efforts with areas of ministry. The vision of the Volunteer Ministry is to create a spiritual atmosphere where people who have heard the call to servanthood can become connected for kingdom building.
CREATIVE ARTS MINISTRIES
We are creative servants who are committed to using physical demonstrations to serve as a visual representation of a silent proclamation.
Our Mass Choir, Women’s Choir, Voices of Judah, Children’s Choir, Praise & Worship Team and Musician Staff are committed to promote genuine praise unto the Lord, so that He is glorified and the body of Christ is edified.
Let us Praise Him in the Dance! We use a nonverbal form of communication which can reach many cultures and languages with the message of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Theatre Arts Ministry
We are a creative team who utilize gifts in writing, directing, costume design, sewing, spoken word, construction and yes, acting to share modern day parables creatively and in the spirit of excellence.
Servants committed to maintaining and decorating God’s house. Servants assist with display windows, sanctuary maintenance and decorations for special events.

Each month, our team serves the homeless and under-served communities in Chicago by providing food and clothing to local shelters, monthly Bible study sessions that include praise and worship, as well as prayer with and for the sisters and brothers that are visited.
Know Bondage Substance Abuse Recovery Support Group
If you have in the past, or are still dealing with substance abuse, we are here to support for you on a weekly basis every Tuesday from 7pm-8:30pm. You don’t have to be a member of AFC to join this support group.

Open Door Prison Ministry
It is our mission to encourage, equip and assist the incarcerated, formerly incarcerated, and their families to grow toward greater godliness and commitment to Jesus Christ and His church. Annually we visit over 400 men and women (including juveniles) incarcerated in the Department of Illinois Correction Centers.
During our annual Season of Giving, we help organize this project through which AFC provides gently-worn and new clothing and coats to men, women and children in need who reside within the community and area shelters during the winter months.
We are a passionate group of servants who are committed to presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ to people from all walks of life in a biblical, compelling and compassionate way.
Much care is taken in preparing The Lord’s Supper and dedicated workers help make this sacred process seamless and excellent.

We are committed to serving God’s people through surveillance of Church and grounds.
Our Transportation Team serves during special events and conferences to ensure safe and comfortable transportation for our special guests. You must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record to serve on this team.
As doorkeepers in the House of the Lord, we provide order and direction in the sanctuary.
